If you have an older vehicle you may find that it requires quite a few repairs in a short space of time to keep it road worthy. Recently when taking my car in to have some brake pads fitted, I was advised that my exhaust would soon need replacing along with the suspension both sides and 2 new tyres. Although this work didn’t necessarily need doing immediately, it would need doing over the next few months. This left me in a dilemma as to whether I should cut my losses and get rid of the car or slowly try and get everything fixed, hoping that nothing else would crop up.
When buying older second hand cars, this is a problem many of us face and it is a case of deciding is it better the devil you know or to start again and hope that you do not have the same issues again immediately.
