There may come a time when you need to rent a car. It may be that yours is in for repairs or servicing, has been sold or simply that you need a bigger vehicle to transport luggage etc. Some people even hire a car for the experience of driving something newer than they currently own.
When looking to hire a car, you need to very carefully read the terms and conditions as unfortunately some hiring companies do not point out the bad bits. You are likely to have to pay a deposit when hiring a car and the chances are there will also be a damage excess that will have to be paid should you return the car with any marks on.
This will be charged regardless if you caused the damage or if there was a third party involved who was at fault. You will then have to pursue their insurance company to claim back the money you have paid out.
