Ensuring that your care is maintained and ready for the winter months is essential.  If your car is due for a service make sure this is done before the winter months. Some garages offer free or discounted winter car checks, so look out for these. 

Below are some things that you can do at home in preparation for the winter:

Check the tyre tread on all tyres including the spare.

Top up engine coolant with antifreeze.

Clean all the lights, front and rear and check they are all working.

First Aid kit, make sure all items are in date and replace those that aren’t.

An empty fuel can.

Torch and spare batteries.

Sunglasses as the sun is low in the winter so the wiser may not help.

Map in case your satnav fails.

Jump Leads.

Ice scraper and de-icer.

Spade.

Food and drink supplies.
